On June 2, 2012 Queen Elizabeth II celebrated Her Diamond Jubilee. Commemorate this moment in history with the limited edition Royal Crown Derby Platinum Bird.  Her Majesty The Queen’s jubilee is only the second in the history of England’s monarchy, preceded by Queen Victoria in 1897.

This figurine is handmade and hand-decorated bone china from England with 22k gold accents.  It also has a stopper which allows it to be filled with sand to act as a paperweight.  Because it is a limited edition it is only available through the end of 2013.
Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal will mark it’s 100th anniversary on February, 2, 2013.  Although it may be hard to believe, Grand Central came very close to not making it to this moment in history, facing it’s own eminent demise in 1968, much like the original Penn Station did in 1964.

Plans to demolish and replace it with another skyscraper came under much protest.  Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis remarked, “Is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud monuments, until there will be nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future?”

Ultimately it was the Supreme Court that stepped in to save Grand Central in the landmark case Penn Central Transportation Co. v. New York City.   All the more reason to commemorate this historic 100th anniversary, we proudly present our Limited Edition Grand Central Terminal Halcyon Days Enamel Box, made exclusively for us and available only through Scully & Scully.

Joseph H. Sulkowski’s paintings are world renowned and housed in private collections throughout Europe, North America and the Far East. Known as an artist in the tradition of the masters, Sulkowski honed his craft under the tutelage of Frank Mason, the foremost American authority on the techniques of the Old Masters. It was during this time that Sulkowski perfected the methods he utilizes to this day.  He preps his own canvases, grinds pigments from powered plants and minerals and mixes his own mediums and oils using recipes developed by Rembrandt and Rubens.

For this reason, Scully & Scully proudly carries limited edition giclee prints by Joseph H. Sulkowski. Find them online at ScullyandScully.com.
