Scully & Scully and The Fund for Park Avenue: Tulips in Bloom

A stroll along Park Avenue reveals a lovely and colorful display of radiant tulips. The tulip plantings are carefully cultivated by The Fund for Park Avenue, responsible for the beautification of Park Avenue, including selected artwork, landscaping, and the annual Christmas trees displayed along New York City’s most famous avenue.

Scully & Scully hosted members and supporters of the organization this week to celebrate Spring and the arrival of the freshly planted tulips. Host Committee members designed beautiful tabletops from the store’s vast array of fine china, crystal, and silver offerings. The mix of fresh flowers made for a truly delightful, and inspirational, visual treat.

The evening also included a signing by author Betsy Pinover Schiff and her book, “Sidewalk Gardens of New York” which chronicles the “greening” of the city over the past 15 years.

Many thanks to President Barbara McLaughlin and to all of the Committee Members for making the evening such a success.

What is that fabric in the window?

For the strollers along the famed Park Avenue in New York City, the Scully & Scully windows are always a treat. From elegant dining rooms to stately studies, the displays reflect a whole room concept including furniture, decor, and draperies. For a proper room design is not complete without a well-dressed widow. Each fabric is carefully selected to complement the window’s theme.

We are often asked – “What is that fabric in the window?”. Our beautiful selections are handpicked and most are available for purchase through our Interior Design department. Love the fabric, but looking for a different color or pattern? Our Interior Designers are available to work personally with you – whether a simple room refresh or a complete home decorating project.

Springtime on Park Avenue: Tulips in Bloom

Springtime on Park Avenue ushers in the annual display of colorful tulips along New York City’s famous boulevard. Awash with color and beauty, the streets reflect the new vibrancy of the city as we welcome warmer weather. Yet the tulips, and other fine statues and artwork, do not come about without a concerted effort from the Fund for Park Avenue. Tasked with raising funds and awareness, the annual tulip plantings have become one of the city highlights.

Scully & Scully hosted a lovely reception, along with the Fund for Park Avenue and President Barbara McLaughlin, to celebrate Spring last week. A peek inside our party.

A Proper Library

A proper library exudes warmth, comfort, traditional design, and a lived-in feel recalling years spent studying, reading, or housing family treasures. While books may be the central feature, a traditional library includes such hallmark pieces as leather chairs, rich wood shelving, and a grand desk. The feeling is warm and cozy with an invitation to pore over books.

Recreate the look of a proper English library with our curated selection of favorite Scully & Scully pieces. Shop online or visit us in-store for a wide selection of all the necessary library elements, from leather accessories and whimsical bookends, to traditional furniture in rich leathers and mahogany.
